Dialysis is the process of cleaning the excess fluid and waste material accumulated in the body by means of a semi-permeable membrane in people with renal failure. There are two kidneys in humans and these kidneys are located on both sides beside the lumbar vertebrae. Approximately 150 grams, length 12, width 6, thickness 3 cm The main function of the kidney is urine. The kidneys receiving the blood pumped by the heart pass the blood through the glomeruli and form urine. Due to kidney urine production; It provides the removal of toxic substances and extra water produced during digestion of consumed foods. In addition, the kidneys are effective in controlling blood pressure under the influence of renin hormone, in the formation of blood cells with the contribution of erythropoietin, and in bone metabolism by adjusting calcium phosphorus balance. Dialysis should be initiated in patients whose activities of kidney function are largely reduced. There are two types of dialysis treatments.

Peritoneal Dialysis: Essentially, the fluid given to the patient through the abdominal cavity by mixing with the waste materials here and is the process of evacuation of these waste materials.

Hemodialysis: It is the process of removing the patient's blood from the vein with the help of special machines and re-injecting it to the patient. According to the risk of the case should be done 1-3 times.
